Get a free measure and quote from us PRIOR to purchasing your tiles.

When we visit your home to quote, it is helpful if samples of the tiles to be used are available or at least a description of the type of tile you are interested in using. e.g.

  • type of tile
  • size
  • whether it is rectified or not

This will enable us to provide an accurate quote.

Before purchasing your tiles, check the quality of them and be aware of the following:

  • budget tiles can vary in size.
  • beware of excessive bows in large size floor tiles which can cause lips. This can easily be checked by laying a straight edge across the tile and checking for bowing of the tile.
  • Be wary of varying batch numbers when purchasing your tiles as the shades may vary!

We generally quote a job inclusive of your glue/adhesives requirements. There are several of glues/adhesives available on the market and at Young & Cook we have the expertise to know what glue you require for the job in hand.

When we visit your property to quote, let us know what type of finish you would prefer on your external corners, stairs and around windows. e.g.
  • Butt joints
  • Mitred joints
  • Aluminium trim
We are happy to discuss the different finishes and assist with your choice.
To allow smooth running of the project and timely completion, please ensure that materials you are supplying are already on site before we arrive where possible.
Prior to purchasing your tiles, check with the supplier if they need sealing as this will add an additional cost to the project as sealers can be quite expensive.
